This was the plan: floors would be done by Friday, but still would need some settling so careful walking with socks on Saturday and Sunday. Those would be bathroom tiling and painting days. We purchased huge quantities of that heavy duty paper you put on floors to cover them up and protect them. We bought tile installation stuff. The plumber would come in on Monday to install purchased toilet and vanity for guest bath. We could grab our mattresses from storage and move in on Tuesday! We'd probably need a few lamps. And linens. And wifi. No problem.
The call came late yesterday afternoon. Grumpy Ed, our floor guy, went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. He called us from his hospital bed, SO upset that we would be off schedule."I'm on antibiotics, I'll be on site Friday." God, I love him. Take care of yourself, Ed. Then get your ass back to The Dump and finish our damn floors.
The good news: Joe from Adam's crew is doing a magnificent job with the sun room trim. Look.
